What This Means for Houston Home Buyers and Sellers
For buyers in Houston and Fort Bend County, the 5.3 months of inventory and slightly longer days on market mean more choice and less urgency than in tighter markets. The modest dip in median price to $330,000 improves affordability even with rates near 6.67%.
Sellers still benefit from relatively stable pricing. While sales volume is down year over year, well-priced homes in desirable Houston neighborhoods continue to attract buyers. Accurate pricing and strong presentation remain key in this more balanced environment.
